Golos Met with Director of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights
On November 8, members of the Golos Movement’s Council met with Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, the new Director of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
Members of the Council shared the methodology of long-term and short-term election monitoring used by the Movement, talked about Golos’ plans to monitor 2018 presidential elections in Russia, and invited Ms. Gísladóttir to the 4th Forum of Public Watchdogs that will take place in Moscow on December 9 and 10.
The Movement’s co-chairman Grigory Melkonyants informed the colleagues from OSCE Office that in the near future Golos plans to publish the Analysis of Fulfillment of Recommendations contained in the Office’s final reports on the Russian presidential elections of 2004 and 2012and State Duma elections of 2003, 2011, and 2016.
Participants of the meeting agreed to continue their cooperation.
